There are two kingdoms. The governments that are of this world and the kingdom that is not of this world.
Citizenship in the kingdom that is not of this world has one requirement— FAITH.
…whosoever believes in Him — King Yeshua/Jesus — should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Governments have laws to control behavior. Laws can only control behavior. They cannot change what motivates behavior.
But God’s kingdom is concerned with what motivates behavior that’s why God’s response to faith is everlasting life that supernaturally transforms the soul and that supernatural transformation changes behavior.
A good example of the power of this transformation is Saul the contributor to killing Christians to Paul the apostle who wrote about 12 books of the New Testament.
Not only did his behavior change but the motivation behind that behavior dramatically changed.
Yeshua/Jesus did not come into this world to die on a cross, rise from the dead, and ascend to His Father to save this world. He came to save people from this world to live on a new earth forever.
This new earth will have a world capital of indescribable beauty and splendor — the New Jerusalem.
I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
