Context is very important in understanding meaning.

The tendency is to try to understand the Bible from an earthly context.

But it’s important to understand it from God’s timeless point of view.

A significant declaration of Yeshua/Jesus:

From that time — beginning of His teachings and healings — Yeshua/Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven — (the kingdom that is not of this world) — is at hand.” Matthew 4:17

That is the epicenter where mortality and immortality meet. And that epicenter is in a person who said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father but by Me.” John 14:6

God’s spirit connects with Yeshua/Jesus’ humanity, and His humanity with its transforming power immortalizes those human beings who believe in Him.

It’s all about a new earth that is to come and which human beings from this earth will inhabit that one forever.

God doesn’t pick and choose who they will be based on some human quality criteria.

The only criteria is Faith which anyone is able to embrace.
